When our clients or their family members need assistance we can customize our case management services to provide care and oversight of daily activities.
This is a great support to out-of-area family members or to adults in our community that have no support system in place.
Services can be tailored from just checking in to full financial and medical oversight and management.
When no lesser alternatives exist and guardianship is the only reasonable option, we can be appointed by the court as a Guardian of the Person, Guardian of the Property, Limited Guardian, Emergency Temporary Guardian or Voluntary Guardian for as long as necessary with the
ultimate goal of a restoration to capacity when possible.
A Guardianship offers oversight and assistance with medical, financial, residential and social decisions. Following the regulations established in FL Statute Chapter 744 guardians are required to maintain a bond, meet ongoing educational requirements, submit to periodic background and credit checks for registration with OPPG through the Department of Elder Affairs for registration - professional guardians carry out the duties assigned by the court. Initial, periodic and annual reports are submitted for court oversight and audit. Many actions such as liquidation of assets must be petitioned and approved by the court, offering further oversight and protection of those we serve.
We serve as a Fiduciary when appointed by the Veterans Administration to manage the finances of the Veterans that we work with. We recognize and acknowledge the sacrifices that active-duty military and Veterans have made to protect and serve our country and we are honored to offer financial management, oversight and protection of the VA benefits that our clients receive.
We understand and appreciate that hard work and dedication have led to savings for retirement. We also recognize that nearly all of our clients expected to age gracefully. That is often not the case and serious illness and incapacity alter their aging course, making the cost of their care far more expensive than they budgeted for. We assist to identify available sources of benefits, conduct a full financial review and develop a working budget that will provide for care and oversight.
We have the ability to manage multiple sources of income, monitor and reconcile banking and investment accounts, conduct property inventories and valuations and provide continuous oversight, disbursements and reconciliations. as well as tax planning and reporting.
We recognize that everyone wants to remain living in their own homes. We work diligently to identify and engage services to make that independence possible. In the worst case scenario, when living at home is no longer a safe or feasible option, we work with our clients to identify independent, assisted or skilled nursing communities that will provide the activities and oversight that will make them feel the most "at home."
It only makes sense that we have been engaged as Personal Representatives and Trustees. The work that we do in case management and guardianship ties closely to the work that is required in these roles.
As a Personal Representative we are tasked with settling an estate after someone is deceased. We conduct an initial inventory and full accounting of the estate, make payments to creditors and beneficiaries that follow the estate plan.
As a Trustee we are tasked with financial and property management of a trust and trust assets, following the directives of a pre-established Trust.
